Prepaid providers offering BBs have always sucked here, that is, unless you like the lowest end Curves.

Might I suggest an alternative; there's a prepaid carrier called Simple Mobile that lets you bring your own BlackBerry. I am presently using a Bold 9900 I picked up off of ebay and it's $50 a month for unlimited everything including 4G.

If you're interested in that, aim for Tmobile branded BlackBerrys. Any unlocked GSM capable 'Berry seems to work (including my Verizon Bold 9650 though stuck on 2G), but the 9900 at least supports 4G. The unlimited part is mighty nice.

Moved to other North American Carriers. They used to offer curve models, but it appears they currently are not offering any. Perhaps they will pick up the BB10. I would call them an express an interest that's one way to get it done.

Virgin Mobile USA requires the use of their devices. You cannot bring your own phone to use on their service and they make it very difficult to remove the SIM card in order to use their phones on another network.

Virgin Mobile USA would rather sell the iPhone and Android devices over the BlackBerry. The fact that they don't even offer a BB7 phone should tell you something.

Yes. They provide unlimited 3G & 4G across the full T-Mobile network. I'm thoroughly satisfied. As I already told you, you are not going to enjoy any other prepaid BlackBerry options short of a low-end Curve which you will likely have to find on Amazon or eBay thru either Virgin Mobile or Boost Mobile.

Buy a T-Mobile branded BlackBerry on eBay, order a Simple Mobile SIM card and enjoy. Good luck.

Guess what, you can buy their phones in a lot of places, like Walmart, Target, and Best Buy. I am a former Virgin Mobile USA customer and was one for 6 and a half years. In order to use their network you have to use their phones regardless of where you sourced it. You cannot bring a device from another service or use an unlocked device to their service. They make it very difficult to take their devices to use on another network (which considering they use CDMA, that really limits your provider options).
