Default Verizon SMS hussle

I recently added the 150 sms per month plan to my Verizon account. As soon as it was activated I received 50+ spam messages! WTF! I use up a third of my 150 on the first day! Then I use even more sms replying STOP to all these spammers.

I don't think this is an accident!

Probably not an accident. YOU must have done something to generate all those spam messages. Where are they from? Something sounds 'fishy' in San Fran as Verizon (to my knowledge) does not have a 150 message text plan.

The lowest i've scene is 250... I don't know you may be on the 1500** plan because that is close to what you said. I would check with my verizon to see what you really have.

If it is from one of them five digit numbers you can type "STOP" w/o quotes and they should stop. Or you can call Verizon and block premium SMS messages.

I believe the ones from vzw do not count against your limit.
