Default Verizon official OS upgrade?

There was a post today on the main crackberry page about an official release on the blackberry site and it required me to enter my pin. It immediately took me to verizon's site and it said there was some sort of upgrade but I didn't try it yet due to lack of time. Anyone go through with this yet via this official link on crackberry to RIM?

I don't think there is yet. I would think that there would be a large number of members posting questions about installing it.

Okay I found what you are talking about. Yes you do enter your pin, and it takes you to the VZW website that you use for OS upgrades, however they still have the old Verizon to upgrade not the new 4.5

So no, no OS upgrade yet for verizon. I would guess in 2009 sometime.

Sunkast is right. If we had any new official releases from vzw, the boards would be flooded with posts by now.

I can promise that 4.5 will make it out before OS 5.0. Actually, I better not say that. 4.5 is taking so long maybe 5.0 will be released first!

I'm running 4.5 from cellular south, before that 4.5 from MTS mobility. I do not like to wait. If you are comfortable, run another carrier's OS.
