Default For those of you paying $6.99 a month for TEP...

..why? The only difference between the $6.99 TEP plan from Asurion and the $5.18 WPP plan is Mobile Recovery which you get the same thing and more for free with BlackBerry Protect. I know it's not a huge savings but any little bit helps these days. The TEP and WPP plans are exactly same as pertains to coverage and deductible.

I think the TEP extends your factory warranty past the standard 12 months does it not?

Exactly. The benefit of that extra amount is being covered for two-years for warranty issues. Besides, Mobile Recovery is a free feature of TEC.

Right. Total Equipment Protection both extends the warranty, which covers manufacturing defects (like a button stops working, or you start getting memory errors), as well as providing the insurance coverage, which covers things like damage (including water damage), loss, theft.
