switch from corp email plan to std data plan??

MY VZW BB has been active on my companies BES for well over a year however i am using the email less outside the office. If i was to change my planfrom the 44.99 corp plan to the 29.99 std data plan would i just lose my BES connection? email and calendar updates stop flowing?

searched around a bit and i couldnt find an answer involving someone whose phone was already active looking to do this.

If you go to a standard data plan you would get e-mail and calendar however it is very very feature reduced way to get e-mail. You would pretty much only be able to get your new e-mails plus maybe calendar.
