RIM not seeing Verizon Blackberry

Hey everyone

I've got a weird problem. I bought a Verizon Bold 9650 off Craigslist and it activates fine on Verizon, but the Blackberry services aren't activating. I was on the phone with Verizon for about two hours last night and an hour today and they finally said that RIM isn't seeing the Blackberry as a Verizon phone and it can't be used.

I was just wondering what could cause this and if there's any way to fix it? At least the guy who sold it to me is willing to meet me to give me my money back.

Yes I do. I'm taking it to the Verizon store when I'm done with class today to see if they can do anything.
