To The Reps How Do U Think They Might Handle Storm 2 Release

My question is this; and maybe I kinda know the answer.
But what I would like to know is your thoughts on how
they will handle the release of the new Storm2.
I bought mine back in Nov/Dec of 08.
I am guessing that since I am a vip customer that
I will be elligible for the early yearly upgrade.

Also how do u think VZW overall will be handling this?
Do u think they would possibly allow the people who
bought the Storm at the beginning? To upgrade early
to the Storm2.

Tired of the speculation in the other forums.
So I thought I would come to the horses mouth.
I know your answers will be speculation and that
u can only say so much but I know it will be better than
I will get any where else.

Oh here is a teaser.
Do u think it will be both LTE/CDMA?
Now that last one is some fodder for ya......................

We have no idea when or even if the Strorm 2 will hit, but it'd be safe to assume that VZW will not do any ineligible upgrades because people already have a Storm. (As a whole)

As far as LTE, it all depends on when (if) both things launch.

But as lastraid said, the "who knows" answer works best here.

It's common sence not specualtion. Perhaps I can only speculate that you don't read or watch the news much.

LTE is not being rolled out to early next year. Trial this year will be for aircards in selected cities...

No specials on Storm 2..I doubt they will even call it that.
As far as Verizon is concerned..the storm is a success.
I didn't see a memo on a recall..
You actually think they're going to take a trade-in? Why not just bring it in for the tour then.
If you're still under contract..you will pay the full price..
Just because it may have 2 at the end..doesn't give you a right to receive for a discount. It's nonsence thinking like this that causes uproars when told you're not eligible for an upgrade.

As for VIP..that and a metrocard will get you on the subway.
Everyone here is a "Verizon VIP" we all get the "secret vip" special postcards advertising crap. It's for naive consumers thinking they get a special deal. shhhh don't tell anyone..but I just got a vip mailing that mentioned buy 1 BlackBerry get 1 free.

Q1 2009 Sales Rank:

1) BlackBerry Curve
2) Apple iPhone
3) BlackBerry Storm

Current sales reports vary, but there don't seem to be any big upsets for Q2.

The Storm return & defect rate is a statistically insignificant amount worse than Curve (across multiple carriers) & iPhone, but better than many smartphones. However, the complaint rate is much higher.

It doesn't sound like there is a drumbeat of unhappy Storm owners and I don't think that there will be any concessions for those who chose to keep theirs beyond the WFG period.

I was playing with it before & after release - I knew in about 4.7 seconds I would not pay for the thing & wouldn't use it if it were given to me.

Storm in my eyes is worthless but that would have been obvious long before the 30 days was up. If I kept it I wouldn't even think of expecting any discounts or special treatment.

And why not? They locked my GPS. They won't let me turn on my WiFi that I so desperately need to Twitter with. They once crippled my grandmother's bluetooth so I couldn't steal her phone list and they charge me 7.3 times more than any other carrier!!! Did I mention they are the ones keeping me from my drugs???

I want my early upgrades and discounts and I want them now!!!
