Default Red X and a SMS MESSAGE ERROR when replying to SMS!?

75 percent of all my text messages arent being sent. I get the Red X and a SMS MESSAGE ERROR. I noticed if I create a brand new message they usually send out. It seems I am only getting an error when I reply to a received message.

Is anyone else getting this problem? Its driving me nuts. This just started happening yesterday.

Strange... Try an ota (*228 option 1), and a soft reset. Are you showing
1XEV or what?

This is my opinion and in no way reflects the opinion of Verizon Wireless or its affiliates. Do not consider talking to me a substitute to actually talking to a Verizon representitive, because I often lie. I find it very sad and pathetic that anyone would actually read this far... And to anyone who reads this and thinks its dumb a big middle finger to you.

Sounds good. What about emails are they sending fine? The people that you are sending to are they Verizon?

Data is working fine.
The people I text are all verizon.

Like I said I hit reply then send and get the x.

then i go to create a new message and retype what I want and it goes through 90 percent of the time then. i dont get it.

it has something to do with replying

it says network error
sms message error 3

What the **** thats weird... I didn't see any alerts... does it do the same if you reply with an mms? It sounds like an issue give tech support a call and ask them to remove the texting feature and readd it thats what I would do... Sorry couldn't figure that out...

Corrupted data on your phone causing SMS packet errors is what happened.

Sorry it took so long - in & out of coverage areas. This message took over an hour to send.

Someday, RIM will figure out a way to keep multipath & memory overruns from corrupting text files. Or maybe they won't.
