phone upgrades charged to account

for phone upgrades on verizon are the phones charged to the account or must you pay for them at the time of order?

does any of this change in regards to in store vs on the phone? thanks.

When I charged it to my account, it just showed up on my next bill.
I think you have a choice, but most customers just pay right then and there.

If you are given the option of billing what you buy to your VZW bill ( not sure what their guidelines are) then regardless if you buy online, in the store or via 611 it is all the same, if they let you do it, you can do it. Every time I upgrade any of my 5 phones, I charge it to my bill. I have bought online, in store and via 611.

There are guidelines regarding the maximum amount that can be charged to your account, and that your account be in good standing, like no past-due payments for some period of time. For me, they just ask if I want to put it on account when we get to the payment part of the order.
