My NE2 is up on July 27th. When I went into one of the stores a couple of weeks ago, I was told that I could upgrade May 27th. Do you think they will let me upgrade a couple of weeks early? I really want this Curve and I can not wait!

At Alltel, you can upgrade up to 3 months early. It never hurts to ask.

Depending on your plan and length of time they may say yes. Just be ready for them to also say that you'll forfeit your NE2.

With a little coaxing, the reps could cave. They may ask for something in return. When I asked a store rep if I could somehow upgrade early, he hinted that there may be a possibility, but I would have to pay somewhere in between full retail and the NE2 price. Of course, he could be blowing smoke too.

My upgrade date isn't until Nov 2nd. I don't think I can wait that long for the curve!

they will make you wait because the NE2 is already being given to you 2 months earlier than your contract end date, they won't budge on that date, at least not when I talked to them this week

I've always been able to upgrade after 20 months.

Your NE2 expires only 15 days after the phone hit the stores (05/12/08) that is only 2 weeks. The choices are simple, wait 2 weeks and get the phone under your NE2 or be prepare to spend however many $$ it will cost you for not waiting 15 days. The choice is yours.

They gave it to me with the new every two! I just told the lady helping me that I wasn't having a good experience with the pearl and she helped me out. It should be here tomorrow!

Verizon wouldn't work with me even after threatening to leave so I moved on to AT&T. I bought two Curve 8310s for $.02 through Amazon and received a $75 rebate for each, so that paid for my ETF with Verizon.

You could always call and try to talk the CSR into letting you upgrade early.
