Issues I'm Having...

1. I notice that sometimes the screen will be bright and other times it will be somewhat dim and the keyboard is not lit even if I try to type something...not sure what turns it on and off...any suggestions?

2. I set the option in my sms/mms inbox to not show sent messages and it seemed to work with sms but when I sent an mms message I saw the sent copy there..any way around this?

There is a light sensor that adjusts the screen lighting if you are in a bright or dark environment. On the 8830 I have it is near the led "signal" light. It might be in the same location on your device. If I accidently "shade" that area the BB screen changes brightness up/down. It is a feature which can be turned off but once you get use to it, it works fine.

i have the curve 8330 and i have the the feature turned off and it still doesn't work properly.

I'm convinced with other issues i'm having that i have a bad phone, wish I could be more help.
