Yes. That was pushed to the device and can't be changed. Sorry. The work-around is to use google as your home page or download the google app.

Ironic that Bing and Google are both search engines.

I downloaded the Google App thinking I could use it as a work-around the Bing problem. But for some reason, I am unable to bookmark a page downloaded from a search done with the Google App. The Bookmark option is just not there on the BB Menu.

Has anyone else running into this inability to bookmark a page using the Google App?

If this is, in fact, the way it is, I just can't believe the lengths Verizon apparently will go to in order to prevent me from using my phone the way I want to. I have always been satisfied with Verizon, but this just really gets my goat.

I have google search app on my fone... prefer that over Bing. Put your icon anywhere and you have it at your convenience.

    Shopgurl:
Since you are using the Google Search App on your Storm, can you tell me if you can Bookmark a page you pull up while using that App? On my phone, the only options available when using the Google App are "Save Page" which puts a link in my Messages Folder. I cannot Bookmark a page using this App. Same for you???

    Thanks,
    Rich

    That is very weird.
The choices I get when I press my BB button when on a web page obtained using the Google App are:
    Help
    Page View
    Zoom In
    Zoom Out
    Find
    Home
    Back
    Recent Pages
    History
    Refresh
    Set Encoding
    Page Address
    Send Address
    Options
    Save Page
    Show Keyboard
    Switch Application
    Close

When I bring up a web page directly in the native BB Browser and hit my BB button, I get the following choices:
    Help
    Page View
    Zoom In
    Zoom Out
    Find
    Home
    Go To....
    Back
    Recent Pages
    History
    Refresh
    Set Encoding
    Add Bookmark
    Bookmarks

    Page Address
    Send Address
    Options
    Save Page
    Show Keyboard
    Switch Application
    Close

Does anyone else see these differences? It sure cripples the utility of the Google App on my phone.

    Thanks, Rich
