USCC in Spain?

Would I be able to use my BLACKBERRY curve 8530 in Spain? I'm sure I can use wifi but not clear on what are my options and limits. I'm leaving in 2 months and could use any advice....

Spain uses GSM. The 8530 is a CDMA device. The two are not compatible.

You will be able to use the WiFi with a WiFi access point, however.

Spain offers prepaid BIS via Vodafone...look into it....you'll even have 3G there.
