Default US Cellular NEEDS to release their update to the 8530!!

I'm just saying. US Cellular is really falling behind. They need to release an update to the curve to fix battery drain and other fixes.

This seems to be the norm for UC cellular. I am using the verizon .508 and made a big improvement. Looking at the newer updates on here but waiting to see if worth it.

Skippy, why don't you download the VZW OS, delete the vender.xml file, and install. Your phone will work the same on US Celllular.

Who cares about OTA updates! If you don't like the updates us cell is providing you with, use a different providers update.. Your going to get the same results.. An updated phone. I myself have OTA deleted from my o.s. Because I prefer the freedom to choose. Manual updates.. FTW!

I'm running sprints 5.0.0.654 and having no issues at all. You don't have to wait for USC to release an update. Just follow the directions on how to load an OS not from your carrier. Just make sure it is a 8530 release.
