US Cellular Needs a Family Smart Phone Data Plan

I have been a customer of US Cellular for a few years now, both my wife and I have the Samsung Acclaim (Yes I know I'm a Traitor, but we both had some issues and warranty returns with the Tours, we got the Acclaims for Free), 2 of my kids have phones also, and they keep bugging me about a smartphone. I have told them when they get a job that they can pay the extra and get a smartphone. It would be nice if US Cellular offered a smartphone family data plan because $30 per phone starts to add up. I'm sure they could implement something like the $49.99 family data internet plain for smartphones, I'm sure it would be more than $50 but I think it would be worth it and they could make money on it. What does everyone else think?

I would like to see a 70-80 plan, or a program where they take like 7.50 off for each additional smartphone (making the forth free.)


I would even be fine If that capped the total bandwith for all phones around 8gb...my mom and sister don't use much at all, I use a decent amount but nowhere near 3gb, and my dad has yet to get a smartphone due to the cost.

My personal phone is with a regional carrier, and they have a "Family Data" package. Actually, the plan we're on is an unlimited text+data package for every line with 1500 AT minutes. It works out pretty well, but on the work side we pay for data on every line through US Cellular. It'd be nice to have something bundled.

A family data plan would be really nice, even if they just offered a "small" discount when every line on the account is a smartphone.

I was in a store in NH this morning and sales assoc relayed that there is something new coming down the road in regards to a family data plan for smartphones, although in typical USCC fashion, he would no elaborate. I have 2 BB Tours on the 24.95 data plan and as he looked at my account, he told me that with the "new" plan, I definitely would save some money.

Has anyone else heard this at all??

I heard there suppose to something oct.1 as far as plans got this from customer service.

**** no! My desire can wifi tether to my iPad well enough to watch Netflix Streaming with it 8gb would be gone in a few days if i were to stream alot.

If your using your data connection for watching netflix. And you use over 8gb a month. Since there is a softcap of 5gb a month. Anything over and they know your using your phone to tether. Then uscc will catch you and warn you and if you keep doing it they discontinue your service.
