Default Tour Warranty Replacement?!?

Has anyone recieved a warranty replacement Tour since July? ive been waiting for something since July 23, and USCC reps cant tell me anytihng! i want to know if anyone else is waiting on a replacement or if theyve heard anything.

I have no idea but be sure and post here if/when you do get a replacement. I'm wondering if they are going to give out the 9650 as a replacement.

i will... rep today said as far as she heard they will still be sending out Tours but after the 23 if i dont hav one i will for sure be able to make them send me a Bold

I've been waiting on a replacement Tour since at least early June. As I said in the Bold thread, the intel I got is that there are 200 Tours in the warranty channel shipping any day now, but 700+ waiting to be replaced. After those 200 are spent, they'll likely be shipping the Bold.

if they are waiting to be shipped, why do they keep saying all their phones are on backorder? this is crazy

Default So how screwed am I?

This afternoon my 9630 camera flash stayed on! I called support and after 45 min and a complete wipe still stayed on. They are sending me out a referb maybe in 14 to 21 days. WTF? Now i have to always have it plugged in so itll be charged. Tried to restore from back up on DM6(Crap) now I dont have a browser. Im going to the local USC store tomorrow and raising ****. This is total crap. Im gonna wait 3 weeks for a manufactures refurb that will **** me off every day with problems. I dont want a new 9650. I want an new Tour. My contract isnt up untill April 2011. What the **** do I do now. I may be done with BB forever. Big E any ideas?

Given the circumstances I could see your local store giving you a replacement BB, it might not be a Tour but it's worth asking for.

The important part is to not go into the store and "raise ****" but rather calmly explain the situation.

After the 18th and I have a 9650 IN HAND...I will have a 2 month old Tour that I can part with... LOL!

Big E is definitely right...go in and work with them, but remain calm...it helps the situation IMMENSELY.

got an email from USCC today... they finally shipped me a replacement phone. unfortunately its another 9630!!

Just an update. I was calm and cool just like big E told me, but no luck on a freebie. So i bought a 30 day return tour. They did give me a good deal. Track ball sucks. Im thinkin of selling both of them and getting the bold or maybe trying the desire untill USC gets thier crap together with some decent BB's. Hopefully our luck will change and theyll send us 9650's as replacements.

I think the answer on shipments comes from a few different things.....

My gf had to set up a warranty replacement on her Tour and they said it would be 7-10 days because they were on back order. She waited almost 3 weeks. This time I called them back. Come to find out a new company just started handling their phone shipments and everything was all JACKED up! The guy said they had like 3,000 phones waiting to be shipped out! He said he would send out her phone over night, which he did. Mine was just recently replaced too....No Bold though.

For those getting warranty replacements...are you getting refurbs or NIB replacements?

In 15+ years of years of having cell phones, I've never had to do a warranty replacement......But now I'm having issues with my Tour. I spent over an hour at the repair desk today trying to get the issues fixed.

The repair guy said if I was still having the issues (and now that I'm home, it's doing it again) to bring it back & they would send me a replacement.

My question is, you guys are saying you are waiting weeks to get a replacement? He said my BB had to be wiped before they would even put me on the list to send me a replacement one. What do I have in the mean time? Nothing?

That's a question for the store. They will likely have loaner phones. You should call and ask before turning over your phone.
