I would like to hear if anyone has been successful with Phone Replacement for the Tour. When my Tour profiles didn't work (OS 4.7 initially), they sent me 3 with no improvement, despite my telling them not to bother as they are all the same, but I found USCC has never really owned up to problems with the Tour. They don't sell it anymore (that says something!), but whenever I ask, "have you heard of this problem," I get the surprised reply. I had tech support duplicate problems, and it appeared to be the first time they saw them (profiles not working, no vibrate for Pin in hoslter). I guess they don't want to be giving out lots of Bolds. And it seems RIM won't take much responsibility. But another Tour means hours of reloading apps (and the numerous reboots that means), and it is likely that many of the same issues will recur. I hear more BBs may be around the corner in the next year, may have to wait.
I have found more empathy at times from some in tech support, but it's random who you get and what they will offer.
