"Tour" ing w/My Blackberry in Europe

Hey everyone I had a question for people who have used their USC Blackberry Tour overseas. I will be in London for about 17 days and want to make it so I can use my new Tour there to make calls and stay in touch with business back in the States. I have heard you need to buy some type of London based Sim Card upon arrival and I really don't have a clue as to where I find that, how much it costs, what the terms are etc. So if anyone could assist me it would be greatly appreciated. Carphone wharehouse is a great recommendation. Biggest cell phone seller in the UK. Can get you any of the major providers' sim cards. As far as service, I havent been in years but looking at going back this summer, and last time I checked, 3 seems to have the best prepaid data rates. If you know someone over there already, looks like 3 will send you a free sim, but only to a UK address.

looks like calls to the US from the UK are cheaper than calls to the UK! Dont know anything about data rates, though.

I have an unlocked TOUR on USCC and will be purchasing a SIM card for international use during travel in Europe. I think I understand the use of the SIM card for phone calls, and texting. I don't think I want to pay .015/kb for data use. Do I turn something off to avoid data charges? Would email NOT be forwarded to the SIM phone number or is it automatic to the phone? Thanks.
