Default OS 5 upgrade

What advantage is there for OS v5.0.0.801? I just saw that on US Cellular's software updates and it popped up on my Desktop Manager? I am using .484 and wondering if there is a reason to upgrade. thanks.

I'm not sure how interchangeable these OS's are among carriers but US Cellular has apparently released this new OS as it never showed up on Desktop Mgr for me before, and it is also on the USCC web site. But my Tour is fine with the prior version, so I would like to konw if there are some advantages to the newer version.

OK this is confusing, I found this info on another forum:
Package Version: 5.0.0.801
Consisting of:

* Applications: 5.0.0.484
* Software Platform: 4.2.0.214
* File name: 9500_omadrmjAllLang_PBr5.0.0_rel801_PL4.2.0.214_A5 .0.0.484_Telkomsel.exe
* File size: 151.93MB
MY OPTIONS/ABOUT says I am on .484, but no distinction made for Package version and Applications. SO, .801 DIFFERENT from .484 on USCC phones?

The "applications" version is what your phone says is your current version when you go to about. 801 is the "package" version. If you are running a 5.0 os on USC, then you are running their latest official release. In the case where multiple versions of a major OS are officially supported and released by a carrier (I.e. 5.0, 4.7, etc.) Each package will be listed. If you look at the page for the 8330 curve, you will see two different releases for major OS version 4.5.
