Media Card read error!

I've been getting a message reading "Media Card cannot be accessed due to fatal errors". I have a Tour 9630 through US Cellular. I have formatted two different cards one 4GB and one 2GB. The computer reads them fine. My question: Is there a way to fix this problem? And does anyone know if US Cellular can fix this or will I need to trade in for a new phone? (Possibly an upgrade to the 9650?! Haha) any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've not heard about that error. Two cards makes me think it is a bigger issue. I guess tech support may know....I suspect they will want you to battery pull (I'm sure you must have tried that), and then will say try reloading the OS, before concluding it is hardware. That is the one suggestion I always hate to hear, as you waste a lot of time to find out it doesn't work! On the other hand, you wouldn't have to reload all of your apps to know that. Good luck.

Two things , SD card slot or the Mainboard thats damage.

The first is not so bad and can be replaceable but the later its the major ones. Changing the device mainboard is as the same as buying a whole new device.

I've experienced this issue 3 times. The first time this happened, I did a backup of my pics and videos and formatted the card. Was working fine after, no errors. After a month or so I started getting it again and did the same process as when it happened the first time and recovered the contents. The third time it happened, the error message popped up and I ignored it, when I opened the media folder, all my pictures and videos were not accessible, clicking on them gave me a message that says the media is missing. I did a battery pull thinking this would solve the problem but it did not as I lost all my pictures and videos and all of the other contents I had on the card. I took it to get it fixed and was told that the media card slot was defective and so I was offered a replacement since it's still under warranty. This just recently happened, I got the replacement yesterday and has been working fine so far, no media card issues whatsoever.
