Default GSM Portion of Tour
Is the GSM portion of the Tour from US Cell sold unlocked? I would like to throw in my buddy's SIM card and see how fast edge is on it.

Nope, to be able to use it on GSM you need to get an unlock code using your IMEI code.

Interesting...I haven't seen anybody claim that they were able to use it with a SIM card. I guess if you have your friends card handy you could try.

Yes it will work. I put a t mobile sim in mine today it worked fine right out of the box

wait, so this phone will also work for tmobile if i put in a sim card? im totally a newbie at this and not sure....

Yes I was only getting edge. The setting on the phone says 3g 2g gsm units or something. But I wish I knew someone with att that way I could see if I could get 3g. Beacuse t mobile does not have 3g in okc

i took mine into a tmobile store today and they tested it and it worked great. mines even unlocked he said. i never called uscc or anyone else to get it unlocked, so it shocked me.
