Desire/My COntacts Backup

Anyone else constantly getting any error with My Contacts Backup on their desire? When the error occurs I am not even doing anything with My contacts backup. I took my phone to the store last night and had it looked at but I could tell the guy looking at it had no clue what was going on and said ' well I see it is backed up so you should be ok' well I can see that also, but I should not be getting an error all the time.

Yeah the app fricking crashes every other time I get a text. Just wait until it is rooted. Then you can disable it from autostarting or remove it. Then you can just back it up on demand or have tasker automatically open it before it's scheduled backup.

I am still getting an error everytime I get a txt and I also see that when I did the initial backup it did not load all my contacts.

No clue lol. I rooted the phone and deleted the app. Problem solved lol.

I thought i read that you could not root the US Cell Desire. If you did, was it hard? What rom did you use?

Rooting and flashing a new ROM are separate but related topics. In order to flash a ROM you need to be rooted but you can take advantage of rooting and keep your current ROM.
