Carrier IQ
USCC has stated that they do not use Carrier IQ.
I'm wondering if you believe them. Has anybody looked for it on their phone anyway?
From what I understand it's easier to find on Android (once you know where to look) because it's a stand-alone app that's hidden. On a BB it has to be hidden inside another app to remain undetected and to gain permissions from the user. Something like navigator or mycontacts backup perhaps.
Personally, I believe them. They have aslways seemed like a straight-shooting company and I don't think they would invade our privacy like AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile could be doing.
