If 4G emerges in November, will this phone be obsolete?

FWIW, I spoke with a US Cellular franchisee who owns multiple store locations yesterday, and he claimed new Blackberry phones should start coming by late August. We'll see. Also said LTE was going to start rolling out this year yet.

While I am glad that new BBs are coming to USCC I am bummed that the so called "Torch" is not really the "Torch" with the slide out keyboard.
I don't understand why RIM calls this the same name as a different phone.

Guess I will be waiting until something else comes out with the good BB keyboard.

Tim

US Cellular has publicly stated as much.

If those are the only two htc android phones I'm going to be disappointed. I was hoping for a killer htc device.
Based on the original roadmap release, it sounded like they were only getting two htc android devices.

Yes that's the same roadmap I was referring to, that can actually be found here in this forum

No New Blackberry phones?

Quote:
U.S. Cellular plans to launch four devices from HTC Corp. beginning this summer, including the carrier's first Windows Phone device that runs the Windows 7™ operating system. The Live Tiles on the Windows 7 homescreen show all of the messages, voicemails, e-mails and social network status updates in a single glance. U.S. Cellular also will launch a mobile tablet from HTC in early fall, which has a 7-inch screen and can be held in one hand for easy access to hundreds of thousands of Android applications. Two additional Android-powered phones from HTC are expected to launch in the fall.
So a WP7 (already released), an HTC tablet, and the aforementioned desire 2 and wildfire s. Was hoping for an EVO-type device, but oh well. Sounds like the moto phone will be the flagship beast.

Back to original topic, didn't mean to hijack

I wouldn't lie to ya, just don't count on it being 4G.
