Default BlackBerry Bold 9650 & HTC Desire Coming to US Cellular

As first posted here, the new US Cellular rebate form shows both the HTC Desire and the BlackBerry Bold 9650 (Tour2/Essex).

Good news for folks with renewals coming up soon.

Will the HTC Desire have 3G? I have read that it won't. Then again, I've read that it will. Of course, this is old information I am referring to, hopefully there is more info now. If it does have 3G, I will definitely snag one when I am eligible. Love my Tour, but that Desire looks AMAZING.

It most certainly will. USCC won't be releasing any smartphones that aren't EVDO capable.

I love my Tour and Blackberry but that is going to be my "jump ship" phone. I don't care if I have to pay full price for the phone, I will have it.

3G is good news. This will be my next phone. As soon as RIM releases OS 6 and webkit, I'm going back to a BB though.

256MB RAM for apps and such (like the 9630), plus 2GB internal media storage for music, pics, videos...

Well it may look like USCC will get the 9650 first. The rebate form up above lists the dates between april 16th 2010 through July 15th 2010. It has to be released somewhere in that time frame. My toughts would be as soon as possible seeing as they are on the rebate forms already

You have to remember that the last USCC rebate form showed the Tour on the form a couple of months before it actually hit the stores. I don't know how often USCC updates the rebate form, but I would think they would need future phones to be on the form ahead of time so they don't have to send out new ones every month.

The rebate forms typically cover a three month span. There have been occasions in the past where a phone showed up on a rebate form but didn't actually come out until the following rebate period, it's rare but it does happen.

The rebate form is now up on the website as well.

Aw, wish I'd have discovered these forums (and this thread in particular) before I did my equipment upgrade last week. I probably would have waited a bit, but that "buy one, get one free" on the 8530 was awfully sweet. Only paid $29.95 for both phones and mama's happy because she got one too. Not that I'm unhappy with the 8530, but the Bold would have been way more awesome.

Oh, well. Whaddaya gonna do?
