Automatic time change

I was in Austin and San Antonio and the time would swift randomly to mountain and back to central time. I finally turned auto change off. Any explanation for that? It did not happen with other carriers (per friends) and reboot didn't improve it. What is that problem all about?

Weird, for sure. I think I'd check with US Cellular about it, especially if the folks you were traveling with didn't have the problem on other carriers. Maybe USC could verify that, yes, they have known issues in that area. Otherwise, no clue as to what would have caused it.

OK, tech said that the time zone switching is what happens when switching networks. Sounds like one hazard of US Cellular piggy backing on Verizon and others. I suspect in South Texas, they use several carriers. So the solution seems to be to turn off auto time change when out of US Cellular home areas if this happens.
