Default 8530 and GPS ?'s

I just got the BB 8530 for my wife, I could wait until Christmas, and the GPS is not locking on just like the 8330 did until I downloaded Garmin. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so what did you do to fix it? I'm going to DL Garmin and if that works I'll let yall know.

Later,
Jamey

I have purchased two 8530's in the past week, and both of them had working GPS right out of the box.

you shouldnt be having issues with gps, have you enabled the gps??? go to options>advanced options>gps. make sure everything is enabled and 911 is not selected and you save your changes when done. then try the gps out again, when you download garmin you most likely just approve the permission changes. one of them being to enable gps and location tracking services. hope this helps. cheers.

If you are using google maps try something different like Nav4All. I could not get google maps to use GPS. Nav4All locks on quickly and accurately.
