Default Visual Arts "uncaught exception"

I have Toysoft's Visual Arts v. 1.2.3 on my Tour 9630. In the run of a day it works fine but every morning I'm greeted by the following message:
Uncaught Exception! Visual Arts has stopped responding. Process Terminated.
It seems to have something to do with setting the phone to disconnect from the network overnight (so it's not ringing or chirping each new email at 3am), but I'm not keen on giving up that ability in favour of Visual Arts.

Any advice?

Dave

I upgraded to Visual Arts ver. 2.0 this week -- still getting this error associated with Auto On/Off. I exchanged email with Visual Arts and was advised (in a one-line email) that they did not have a solution. Be warned.
