Default RandomTones for Storm

So you are bored of the same old ringtone each time you get a call. Ever wanted to have random ringtones? Now you can with RandomTones.

With RandomTones you assign a ringtone folder and RandomTones will randomly select a ringtone each time you get a phone call.

You can set up to 5 profiles. Each profile has a start and end time and a ringtone folder. You can set a profile to use professional ringtones when you are at the office and set up a second profile to play funky ringtones when you are at home.

RandomTones will not change the Contact ringtone if you already assigned a custom ringtone to the contact. RandomTones only works for the global Sound Profile ringtone.

Requirement:

* BlackBerry® Storm
* BlackBerry® OS 4.7.75 and higher

Features:

* Random ringtones
* Assign up to 5 different profiles
* Assign ringtone folder for different ringtone types eg: office, home etc...
* Easy to use

Compatibility:

* Storm 9500/9530

ive used this app just fine for months. i was playing around in my SD card and accidentally deleted my ringtone folder. i replaced it but now the app wont work. it just plays the default ringtone for everyone who doesnt have a custom set. i double and triple checked my settings and i cant figure out what's wrong. the settings are just the way they were when it worked.

run randomtones and the select a different folder.
after this reselect the folder that you want to use.

the problem is that it cached the old folder and thinking the files are the same.

ok, i changed the folder to a different ringtones folder and called it, just to see what would happen. now its playing ringtones from the folder i wanted it to... NOT the one thats currently selected though.

-selected "Randtones" folder with 31 ringtones - plays default ringer
-selected "Ringtones" folder with 4 ringtones - plays "Poem" from "Randtones" folder
-call again to double check - plays "Poem" from "Randtones" folder
-selected "Randtones" folder again with 31 ringtones - plays "Holy Diver" from "Randtones"
-tried again - played "Polyamrous" from "Randtones"

ok, so it works now. dont understand what went wrong, but messing with the destination folders seemed to do the trick. thanks!

I also would like to use this with my 9700 and have tried the free trial as it says on the website "any OS 5 devices." I selected the appropriate folder and it finds a few ringtones with exception one that is in the folder, but it only plays the same one over and over. Is this simply a compatibility issue?

did you set all permissions to allow for RandomTones in the options->application app?

make sure you check the Profile#1 checkbox and set the start time to 12:00am and stop 12:00pm

changing those times seems to have done it! thanks!

one other thing...there are 5 ringtone files in the selected folder, but the Randomtones menu only says 4. When I look at the list of the ringtones, all 5 are there, but the count again only says 4. do the files need to be a specific size or format? The ringtone in question does play on the phone's media player

just make sure they are valid name format. no non printable chars. also make sure it ends in .mp3

Program does not seem to work on a Sprint 9630 running 5.0.0.238

EDIT:
Nevermind I have been closing out of the program, and I have automatic quick pull program scheduled for resets at night, make sure you have the program actually running!

Default 2.0

i downloaded V2.0. looks nice... but it doesnt work. profile 1 active 12:01AM There are 33 Ring Tones. I get calls and it just goes straight into the default phone ring. worked fine before, but hasnt worked since upgrading to 2.0 and did a few battery pulls and tried resetting the ringtone folder.
