Picture TimeStamp for OS5+

Picture TimeStamp will automatically print the current datetime or custom text and optionally a logo graphic to the picture taken with the camera application. You can also manually select a picture to time stamp from the Media or Files applications.

The stamped picture can be stored in a separate folder or in the same original folder. You can choose different datetime format, text font, text color, text size and position to print the datetime or text.
Logo can be any size and can be position basically anyway on the screen.

Picture TimeStamp can only save picture in JPG format and the maximum size is 1024 x 768. If the picture is too large it will be resized.

You have an option to delete the original picture or keep it.

You also have an option to control the JPG quality when saving.

It would be nice if this wasn't running in the background all the time wasting memory and the battery.

it does not waste any battery or use any resources. the app is only 60K.

so you are saying that an app that runs in the background doesn't use any battery?

No. I said Picture timeStamp doesnt use much resources and battery it does not allocate any memory or execute until it processes a picture.

Other apps that run in the background might allocate resources and use battery because it does processing on a interval basis.

Then why am I seeing it in my ribbon after I close it?

because it is running in the background.

background apps does not use battery. they only run when events occurs and when you run them. if they are not processing then they do not use any battery.
