Default It's an alt-ternative way of doing things

I was bbm-ing with a mod today and I was surprised to find out he didn't know about a shortcut I learned of by buying some old blackberrys from ebay, and I started wondering how many people don't know about it, so here it is.

Anywhere there's drop down multiple options, like when selecting ringtones in profiles or vibrating option, as you highlight it, instead of clicking the trackpad you can hold the alt button. This will open all the options you can select where you can scroll to the desired option, or ringtone for example, once you have the one you want highlighted you can just let go of the alt and that will make your selection and close the options.

Hold alt-scroll-let go of alt

Try it, it's fun and fast.

I only discovered this when I bought a 7230 and 8707v off ebay out of curiosity as the alt buttons was used to be able to scroll vertically with the track wheel(track wheel scrolls horizontally) and kept trying it within the menus.
And then it hit me, I wonder if new blackberry retain this feature and they do

Enjoy!

You gotta hold down alt while scrolling. When it highlights your selection then let alt go.
