i tired doing this with my playbook and laptop but i will always randomly lose the connection after ~2-3 minutes and my signal was always at 70-89 dBm (i was outside).

does this happen to anyone else?

I just spoke with Verizon and they want to charge me for this... not cool

I'm living in Dominican Republic right now and i'm using my BB with Blackberry Full prepaid from Claro!! And I thought I was restricted to just using my BB!!
