Linux users can use "barrybackup" to backup their devices.

For USB WiFi adapters use Encore ENUWI-G2

I remember trying to do this on my Storm a long time ago. REQUIRED a trackball so I had to do a battery pull.
now it's still useable, but definitely not designed for SurePress.

    even the vibrate and keypad.

I'm sure some of the higher functioning crackberries here knew this but I found out about it and every collegue I show thinks its the neatest thing EVER.
Specially if someone says one of these functions dont work. hehe...

Does anyone else know of this and/or any other special "easter eggs" on the blackberry????

Does this work to test the battery? I have a Storm 9530 where it reboots randomly (before it reboots the battery is showing as atleast half charged) after it reboots I get the Low Battery warning... I just used JL_Cmder to wipe it and re-install the device software... but in case that doesn't help I'm curious if it will test the battery? Or anyone else have some suggestions? I'm getting varying results too... sometimes I can do a QuickPull after it reboots and is complaining the battery is low, but after the QuickPull reset... the battery is showing charged like it should be. Any thoughts?

This is way to cool Just tried it on my 8330 and everything passed. I've had this phone since June 09 and I still have the original trackball, and it works great. (Did I just jinx myself ?)

I did the backlight test on this, and with the screen switched off, I accidentally navigated to another app! Blindly, I had to try and navigate back to the app to get it back on. My moment of terror!

Very nice tip, I got stuck on ICMP Ping Test though. It won't do anything but show that it's in process because of the running dots but that's it. I'v waited for like 30 mins (or should i wait longer?) Btw, what is ICMP Ping anyway? TIA

Tried it again last night, waited for an hour for the "ICMP Ping" part to no avail. Does this have to do with my berry getting weird signal?
