How to Stop the Blinking

but how do you silence the phone from ringing when you have bluetooth enabled? I just want it to notify me of a call through my bluetooth headset device. Thank you.

i love that blinking green light! i love it to death cause ive always wanted mobile device to have a led like that! i keep it on although it has a tendacy to drive some people crazy!

I've got all my LED indicators turned off that can be turned off but if I plug in my 8830 to charge at night on my dresser I've noticed the green LED will come on after a full charge and stay on. It's funny how in a dark room that tiny little LED can appear like a searchlight. Seems like it will stay on for an hour or 2 after the thing is fully charged, usually in the best sleeping time, lol.

Obviously I am crazy! The only LED light I've seen on my phone is red... Hmmm.

Anyone ever have a blinking red light that won't quit even though you've READ all ur msgs?? I have. Soft reset (power off then on) is only way to stop it

You may want to leave your BLUE BT light on as it seems from many posts that the BT seems to connect more regularly when the BLUE light is activated & flashing.

Why does my red light flash when I have no new messages?? It usually happens when I am having BBM conversations and I have already opened the new message?

Yeah this happens to me too. when im using the bb messenger the light somtimes gets stuck. You need to get out of bb messenger and then go back into it. usually stops the light.

Speaking of annoying flashing lights, is anyone else bothered by the flashing upload/download arrows in the upper right hand corner of the screen?

my red light is blinking and i have no messages. I even deleted all of them in case i missed any, but the red light still blinks!
My BB messenger is inactive with no messages.
I tried turning off then back on, that didnt work.

anyone have any more suggestions?

Go into your message folder, hit Menu>> view folder>> look in all the folders in there, see if you have anything at all.

AhHa I figured it out...when new stories come in on Viigo, it blinks red. When I open viigo, the blinking stops.

I was just messing around, syncing my Mac to my BB. Lo and behold it actually worked for me (yaah). The only problem now is that I can't get the blue light to turn off. Its just blinking nonstop. But I'm not longer connected to any Bluetooth devices...so...um...help me turn it off?

I read through this thread and wanted to know if anyone found out what the blinking codes are when you first power a device on...
I have an 8820 that when you plug it in or put the batt on it blinks as follows... One fast, pause, 3 fast.... and it just keeps repeating this... I have taken one apart before and didnt get the LCD connected all the way and remember that had a distinct blink pattern as well... I just dont remember for sure what it was 2 slow pause 4 fast i think...
