Red face Voicemail Tune

Help...I'm a newbie too! I got through changing my indicator tunes for my email, text, etc messages-but how do I change the alert tone when I have a new voicemail?

Also, (I don't know if I need to start a new thread) is is possible to change up the icons that are associated with the themes? For example: If I have the "BB Dimension Zen" theme selected can I edit which main icons appear on my home screen because I would like to put my work email incon on there instead of the calendar.

THANKS!!!

Anyway when I create my own profile that it I can disable to keytone when I'm dialing a number. It doesn't sound for msging and I'd perfer to not hear it when I do sometimes dial a number.

I'm not sure I understand your question. I think you're asking if you can silence the keytones when dialing a phone number. The answer is no, you can't.

What's the difference of "in holster" and out of holster? And what are all the different alerts??

In holster = if it's in a holster on your hip you can have those particular notifications set. For example, while in holster you might want it to only vibrate, but while not in holster you might want it to ring, i.e. make a sound...

See?

PS: The magnet in the holster tells the device when it's in a holster or not...

I don't know if my phone is not working properly because I have tried many times of setting the "vibrate and tone" setting when I receive an email and set it to "low" and LED light on and receive nothing but an icon on my desktop when I receive an email! I have sent myself quite a few test emails and nothing. Don't know if I got a busted phone or if the OS changed this or what!

EDIT: This is something with the email specifically because I changed the regular text/sms setting and it does vibrate and does not blink.

Ok, I found the answer to my problem and I figure I'd post it... when I bought my phone and upgraded the OS on it, it crammed my two emails into the main messages folder.
When I added another email account, after the fact, it then created it's own message/email folder and I would receive the blinking light and vibration.

So, I deleted my original gmail account and re-added it so now I also receive the blinking light and vibrations since it has it's own folder again.

Default repeat notifications

Hi,

I've been through the profiles sections and can't work out how to extend the ring notification. At the moment my phone rings twice and then goes directly to voice mail. Any idea how to extend the ring notifications so that I can answer it!

Thanks,
Sharon.

I'm pretty sure I'm totally missing something here, but I followed the instructions for assigning a ringtone to a particular person found here: How can I personalize my alerts from specific contacts? - BlackBerryFAQ

Didn't work. Still rings on the stock tone. Why is it that I can't just assign a ringtone when I make an entry into that person's contact page in the address book. Seems really basic for any phone. In this case, I am trying to assign a custom tone I got from CB.com.

Ifound the answer. Because I have myfaves, it causes conflicts.Looks like whatever you have in th myfaves profile is "senior" to everything else.
