Today Text doesn't show on TB6..help plz

OK, so yesterday I was finishing the last touch-ups on a theme using Theme Builder 5.0 when it decided to relocate the banner items (meters, time etc) to the top of one of my call screens over the phone & volume icons. I tried to test the theme on the sim and my device to see if it was just a glitch with TB, but it wouldn't allow me to because the banner items were outside of the banner area.

Short of the long there... I tried everything I could think of and never could get it to put the banner items back where they were supposed to be. Not to mention that TB 5.0 will reset my custom meters every time I close the program, even if I save it fifty times.

So I re-installed TB 6.0, converted the theme to work with it and then spent another hour trying to fix everything that it more or less knocked out of whack. Finally get that done and my theme should have been finished, but then I realize while testing that the today text wasn't showing up.

Short of the long there... I tried everything I could think of and still the today text doesn't show up. It shows perfectly on the TB 6.0 preview, but nothing on the sim or my device. I then attempted to take it back into TB 5.0 to get the today text to work, which would complete the theme and couldn't do that because TB 5.0 couldn't find a "previous version". At that point I removed TB 5.0 from my computer hoping that this was due to some kind of conflict due to having both installed, but that didn't fix anything either. As a last resort I started the theme from scratch, but again, no today text outside of the TB 6.0 preview.

So my question is this...

Is there a trick I don't know about to get the today text to show up when working with TB 6.0? This is apparently the "gold" version and not the beta, if that makes a difference.

you cant relocated the banner icons over the call screen........ there is no option to do this.

what today area are you trying to do? today areas are on the home screen only

I know there is no option to relocate banner icons to the call screen, TB5 did this all on its own and there is unfortunately no way to undo it. Apparently this was a glitch that nobody else has yet experienced.

I ended up having to start the theme over from scratch.

what today area are you trying to do? today areas are on the home screen only

I'm aware that the today area is on the home screen only, however, in TB6 this is apparently something that can only be added to blackberry6 version themes and not custom themes (so I was told).

So my understanding is that it is not possible to add the today area to a custom 85xx series theme in TB6 and is only possible in TB5. I guess TB6 is rather useless unless you have or are developing themes for OS6 devices.

Don't have any, but if it (the banner icon glitch) happens again I will make sure to get some.

For the time being I'm back to TB5 because I like having the ability to add the today area to my themes. Aside from the issue with the banner icons, which only happened that one time (and hopefully wont happen again), the only other problem I have with TB5 is the fact that it resets my custom meters when I exit the program. But again, this seems to be something else that nobody else has experienced.

You can ony add today areas in tb6 for custom and custom6 themes not blackberry6 themes so you have it the wrong way round

Blackberry6 themes already have a built into today preview from the notiifcation area
