today area not visible in the theme?

when i add a application (zen/today) in the theme builder to my theme, and check the "SHOW TODAY AREA", the today area shows. but if i import a svg file (with default application icons) from composer and add it to the theme, and check the "TODAY AREA", today area doesn't show when focusing on a today application. what should i do to make today area visible when i go over a today icon (which is a svg)? what to do? please guys help?

importing svg icons into themebuilder does not work when trying to use them with today areas....you need to create the icon in themebuilder. You can always manipulate the icon after themebuilder exports the files...

so what you're saying is that it wouldn't be possible to put a today area on a dock?

No that's possible, u need to set ur today item in theme builder and then modify the exported code in homescreen.svg. Then u will need to modify the today items using animatetransform if u want to use them in the hidden dock. Read this post to learn how to get access to homescreen.svg and how to compile ur theme by hand.
