Default Theme Builder 6 Beta 2 - Findings and fixes

I wanted to start this thread because we are bound to find stuff that still doesnt work or is now broken.

what I have found so far:

1) Date icon... i have gotten reports that the date icon reverts back to the original OS6 icon... not sure why. I did see they added a font changer for it. maybe thats it. No way to test unless you have the Torch.

2) the BB "4 dots" - this is now NOT tied to the network label. It seems that it now appears in the WIFI icon location - confirming this shortly.

3) homescreen icons from SVG are STILL cut off - nice.

4 dots is WIFI spot- Confirmed.

Fixes

1- HS icons added via TB are now numbered :-) ie: app 1 , app 2, app 3, app 4

2- Alot more word wrap friendly !

@ross - thats text... there is no way to change that easily
@molson - I had one person say their 4dots did not move... maybe its carrier specific?

and.. what do you mean the Hotspot icons are numbered...like the app icons in code?

The 4 dots most certainly move.

If you put the wifi icon directly on top of the signal bar, it'll end up right beside it in the theme.
( as it used to) :-)

and in regards to icon#s

I mean when you add an icon (hsX) it tells you what ap # it is.

IE: if you line 4 along the bottom & deicde to move em after, you dont have to keep track of which one is which (used in slot order in svg)

like this

I try not to confirm things if I dont try em first, must be carrier specific, or the one guy did NOT move the icon far enough, as it does not move the same on the BB, as it does in TB

How did you manage to actually upload the SVG? I don't see an option to actually include it. I started with an "custom" theme

        y="0"
        width="68"
        height="68"
        xlink:href="net_rim_bb_calendar_app.Calendar.png"/>
  <text id="calendardate"
        x="34"
        y="49"
        font-family="CalendarIcon"
        font-size="30"
        text-anchor="middle">

Right, they get overwritten with calendar.svg & calendar_focus.svg.

but, could you not do this ?

<set xlink:href="#calendaricon" attributeName="visibility" to="hidden" begin="0" />

Then just add your own in your svg called calendaricon1 ?

<image id="calendaricon1"

Obviously the same with calendaricon_focus or whatever it is called.
