Default Theme Builder 6.0 help

I need some advice or help from a theme maker / guru.

I have made a theme for my 9780 on Theme Builder 6.0

I am ready to try it out and I can't load a 9780 Simulator (?!?!?!?) I downloaded a simulator from RIM and I install it and Theme Builder 6.0 does not detect it.

Thats one thing:

Secondly I made a theme before on Theme Builder 5.0 and had no problem testing it on my 9700 directly.

Now, with Theme Builder 6.0 and a 9780, I cannot see it anywhere on my berry. I get the message that says it is ready to be tried. I can't find it anywhere!

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance....

It also happens to me , so I have stopped waiting for that.

Run the simulator from the Start panel, as thats the only way to suggest.

There are many bugs in the RIM recent bundles, and they seem to take care of nothing for their users and customers.

Initially I have written to them too, but no response from their side.

I guess RIM is also becoming just another Nokia or Samsung like Organization, just laying concentration on their new products to get more customers, and not even answering their old customers.

Dang......I hate to hear that, but I feel ya! I think OS6 was RUSHED!!!! And, between you and me I am not holding my breath for OS7. OS5 was GREAT! They need to go back to the drawing board and pick OS5 apart, but with new eyes and duplicate what made it great, imho.......

Yeah.....OS6 did not benefit the way we developers and theme makers wanted, and with this rush, the sequential files were also buggy too.

But then wats the use?

BB has also gone for monopoly business now with OS6 handsets not upgradable to OS7.

Why did I buy a Torch then ? When they have come up officially with BB9810 with OS7??????????

I dont understand these Mobile Making Companies making their customers into fools just for the sake of some quick money and loosing their own reputation.

RIM lost their focus. To go from number ONE in the industry to a bystander is not an enviable place to be. The only way I will stay a RIM device user is to get a free upgrade. I was ready to give up when they forced OS6 on my 9700 that could not handle it. They upgraded me to a 9780 which is better suited for OS6. I truly love my BOLD but it is very buggy. My cursor moves all over the place by itself. I wiped it clean and reinstalled OS6 but it still does it. And it will FREEZE up completely at least twice a week, but the cursor and the occasional foreign language letters that pop up in a text or email are my biggest complaint......

My Torch has been loosing its Body colour from day 1 , I care my phone more thanmy baby and Always keep that in a way that it never goes through the finest touches or scratches.

But the quality of Torch is very bad , from outward side , where it comes to Colour and body metal.

It looses colour from day 1 , and it s like hopeless.

I contacted them , in our local store but they seemed to take no care about this at all.

This is the worst service quality I had been receiving from RIM recently, where they are blatantly selling their handsets, but not looking to the same customer who had just bought their device.

At present their market strategy is no lesser than the @@@@ Nokia or Samsung , the way they handle their customers.

Thats correct, the simulators are worst as per BB is concerned . None of them seems to work at ease for the Torch, I tried almost all the versions. This doesnt happen for all other than the 95xx and 98xx sims.

I dont know when would RIM get back to their old status of delivering quality to their customers rather than concentrating on quantity.

Try this, it worked for me. I'm using Windows 7.

Uninstall Theme Builder and the Simulators.
Reinstall Theme Builder and the Simulators as Administrator on your PC.
Right click on the installer and choose "Run As Administrator".
Reboot your PC.

Not joking at all.
I have no way of reading your mind, only what you posted in the thread.

Sunny.. Angus was just trying to help. What he posted works...

I have no issues like what you 2 have said. My sims work fine right from TB.
the only time i have to load it differently is when I do a manual compile.
