Switching focused Icon on action?

Hello to all themedevelopers out there!

I'm trying to make a new theme.
One part of it is a hidden dock with 4 Icons. It should appear when I press a special Themebutton. so far there is no problem, but now I want to switch the Focus to the first Icon on this hidden dock automatically. when I launch one of these 4 Icons I want to switch the focus back to an not hidden Thembutton.

Is this possible in anyway?

Would be very greatful for any help!
