Default simulator

can someone give me a link to the official Plazmic Theme Builder? I have downloaded two things, but I guess it wasn't the correct thing. I have the Plazmic CDK Kit and Research n motion kit. AM i missing java runtimetime files or something? I open the TodayPlus, svg in the Theme Builder. I scroll down to the "Navigation History" and select "No Memory". Then I go into Edit>Preferences and slect the simulator tab select "480x360", 9630,, 4.7.1.40, and I get an errorr. Xan someone help me out?

Thanks

Did you download any simulators? They do not come in Plazmic but are separate downloads (they are each about 100 meg)

Yes. In my post i said I downloaded 2. Is there an official website for it. I am using the 9600 series if that matters, which I believe it does because I had to select 9600 from a drop down menu when I downloaded my simulators.

Can you please post the link where you downloaded yours?

EDIT: It wont let me post links, but I downloaded it from BB Software site and chose 4.7.1.40 from the drop down meu thinking that was the right one because of the OS I was running unless I should have downloaded version 5.

I juat looked under programs and i do have the 9630 4.7.1.40 standalone installed and I watched the hidden dock tutorial that was posted here and i clicked the green little button far right and it says go to preferences and add a simulator and i did, but it doesn't work.

plazmic

Link to the simulators

It sounds like you have plazmic installed but you did not download the appropriate simulators to test your designs.

that's exactly the site iI went to cavingjan. I chose 4.7.1 because my OS is 4.7.1.40 - Isn't that what I would want?

EDIT: I wrote 5.7.1.40 instead of 4.7.1.40

Do I have to have my cell phone hookedup to my computer through USB or something because I just realized theres a 9630 version, 9630 Verizon version, and a 9630 sprint version and I have Verizon, but he didn't mention about plugging your phone into your computer.

Make sure you are not selecting the software version in the options....
Options screen should look like this:

I unistalled the 9630 version and installed the 9630 verizion version version and now it says the simulator is not compatible and at the very end I get a Windows error that says:

Internal Error - BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator

oh ok. I will try that. Does it matter if my phone is plugged in through USB and does it matter if I downloaded the 9630 simulayor or the 9630 Verizon Simulator?
I have verizon for service if that matters.

EDIT: MIt Keeps saying I have not selected a default simulator and then it says the version of the simulator (4.7.4.1) is not supported when I choose "ALL" for an OS. When I do select 9630 for an OS it just tells me the version of the simulator (4.7.4.1) is not supported. What the **** am I doing wrong? I have Plazmic CDK Installed, I have the Simulator installed. Am I missing something. This is driving me nuts.

What do you have listed under Applications (in the Preferences) Is a default simulator program listed? Is that program still valid. (when I went from 4.6 to 4.7 it did not change that setting to the new one and when I uninstalled 4.6 it broke.)

svg app path: "C:\Program Files\Plazmic CDK 4.7\bin\simulator.exe" "%1"

img app path: "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2009\bin\fcheck.exe" "%1"

Maya is a 3D modeling/animation software package I use. fcheck is used to watch playblasts. It just plays every single standalone image in a row from images that are numbered in order. It is like a flipbook I guess you could say.

Can you open the simulator from your start menu (not from inside composer or theme builder)? Does that function correctly?
