Showing time/status in Composer?

I'm really new to using composer, I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to add in the time, date, battery, etc on a dock in composer. I have a hidden dock at the top for icons, and I want a hidden dock at the bottom as well to show information.
The problem I'm having is getting the text and icons to display over the bottom dock. I want to know how to set those items over the dock like I did with the icons. I'm thinking it should be done in composer, but I cannot figure out how or if it is even an option.
