Default Scrolling icons with app title next to it

I have been building themes for a little bit but can't seem to figure this one out. I am trying to create a multi-home screen theme. What I can't figure out is how to have one of the screens (app menu screen) that will have the app's appear in scrolling dock(this i can do), but can't get them to have app title next to each app. I want to use the device application order so the only time you have to use the device app menu button is if you want to change the order of this screen.

Below is the contact screen from an HTC Sense phone. This is an idea of what I am trying to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Like my other themes when this one is done it will be FREE...

You can add the text using SVG. This post explains how to do it.
If you don't know anything SVG, that's a whole new different thing so read the entire thread from the beginning.

By the way, if you add too many items to the home screen using SVG, it's going to start lagging past a certain point. As much as I would like to never have to leave the home screen, you can't load everything in there

thank you. Yea I have messed with SVG's, just don't know how to fully read code yet. But every time I do something in the SVG file, I learn something new. I will check out the thread, thank you.

Yeah, it's not easy but the only way to really learn is to spend time trying out stuff. Be prepared to stay up late for a while

lol.. so very true... Also, make COPIES!!! when you find something that works.. save the file as a diff name so you can start over when needed.

Also, remember this... when you change something and re-export from composer, all your changes will be gone. So be sure to copy you edits out and put them back in after the export.

I answered you post over a bbthemelabs. You will need to look into using jscroll and see if you can change it to up/down instead of left/right.
