Please help : Image Quality

i have been messing around and creating a few themes .
i have noticed that the images look great on the PC and in the theme builder . but once i transfer it to the berry i start getting images that doesnt look as well . sort of grainy .
i have created each image as they are suppose to be .
correct size ( pixels etc.. ) and saved as PNG files .

this quality problem happens in the SVG files and just standard background images .

i use Photoshop to create and edit the images .

PLEASE help .

Are the image sizes correct in the SVG file (you aren't enlarging the icons in any way are you?)

i just make one icon with SVG . i put a weather icon in upper right corner .
stardard size .

320x240 , thats the size i set the PNGs at .

So, when I start work on a new button for my Zen Tesla theme, PSE-7 says its size (ctrl-alt-i) is 772 x 811 pixels. As I work on it, changing color, transparency, and adding a label, it gets reduced in size in various steps, until its size going into the Composer is 64 x 67 pixels.
