A plea

Could some of you write themes with Today screens.
The built-iin theme onmy curve has this. But I've yet to find a free theme with one, and the paid themes don't mention it either, so I assume I'd be wasting money buying one.

Even better, I'd also like it to leave my folders alone and not mess around with their content and organisation. Change the icons please. But leave the contents where I left them.

Before anyone can address this request, we need to know which device you have, and which OS version you're running.

If you're running OS5, forget changing themes and keeping all your icon/folder settings. It just won't happen.

I will also suggest looking through the myriad themes already available in the BB Themes forum.
