Default Need help testing something, App World Bug

So here's the situation. Since App World 3.0 came out, I cant see anything in any category that doesnt have a rating. If I browse any random category (Apps/games/themes), there is a very limited list and everything in there has a rating. I have it to show all, no filter, and Ive tried the different 'sort by' methods. Ive tried reinstalling app world (3.0.0.73), and still the same thing. I submitted a ticket and this is the response:

Hello,

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, we're unable to reproduce this problem. When looking on a device (BlackBerry 9900 for this example) and navigating to the Games > Action category we see numerous applications with 0 reviews.
...and they attached a screenshot of app world with some apps with a 0 star rating.

So I dont know if this is a bug that's model related, or what the issue is, but if you guys can take a look on your own phones, browse any category in app world (make sure its set to show all, no filters) and see how many apps you can see. Do they all have a rating? The category that their email mentioned (games>action) I only see 25...which is obviously not all of them, and they all have a rating.......and thats with 'show all' at the top, 'show all' for filter, and I tried the dif 'sort by' methods. My personal phone is a torch 9800.

Just trying to figure out what the issue is here. If certain phones can only see a fraction of the games/apps/themes that are on appworld, then our hard work is going to waste....people wont see our themes...and wont buy them.

Hi,
Looks like if you scroll all the way down it will open another set of applications (I'm on "show all 175"), you can check them by rating and will put the 5Stars first and so on. A little too slow to browse but I see them

Yea I tried that, keep scrolling and i eventually can see some new ones (25 more at a time) but if someone just wants to see new themes, or the highest rated, they would have to scroll through every last theme on appworld in order for the sort filter to work right....since it only seems to sort the ones you have already 'seen'. It should be filtering/sorting ALL themes on app world and putting those in your screen regardless of wether someone has scrolled through them all. Take the abstract category, I doubt anyone is going to scroll though 5000 themes so that their filter/sort will work right. So if you have a new abstract theme put up on appworld an hour ago, its not going to show up when someone has 'sort by newest'....because the person never scrolled through the 5000 themes there is.

Also, I have a theme in the "movies and tv" section, I have scrolled all the way through them to the bottom until new ones stopped showing up (says there is 286 for my model), and my theme isnt in the list. I can search for it by name, and it says its in the "movies and tv" category, but you cant see it by just browsing. What good is that? People dont know what to search for.

I agree... when you SORT BY NEWEST.. you should get the NEWEST ITEMS!??? not the most popular/newest

i would reply to them and say that its not sorting by newest when looking in a category.

Where do you submit a ticket?? I cant remember and cant find it!! lol

For the ticket:

https://www.blackberry.com/profile/?eventId=8109

The issue tracker is useless...they just rejected it in issue tracker and said to use that link.

I replied to their email, hopefully they will get it and respond without me having to submit a new ticket. The first one took a few days before they responded.

Good news, they responded to my last email:

Quote:
Hello,

The behavior you are describing I can reproduce, and I will be forwarding this to the Product Management Team. I don't disagree with you on the functionality being a problem for new apps/themes.
At least they know about it now and will be taking a look to fix it (I hope)

they responded to my email as well....

what i said:
Quote:
On your device...im using an S2 Ok... go into app world... click "Themes" If you slide over to newest, you can see the 25 newest themes... like it should. slide back to categories, pick one (like abstract) Now.. show me how to see the NEWEST theme in there? you cant!!! if you pick NEWEST from the filter... it is NOT showing the newest items.. it showing POPULAR NEW ITEMS. The only way people can find the newest themes is to scroll down and down and down and down etc...there is no way anyone will spend 30 mins while they scroll to the bottom of the 2500+ abstract themes. They should be sorted by the NEWEST ITEM UPLOADED. PLEASE FIX IT!

Thank you for your email. This is a previously identified problem with the 3.0 App World client and has been raised internally to be fixed.

so they DO get it and are fixing it...
