Default Live updating calendar icon showing real date

Does anyone know how to create a calendar icon that shows real date and updates live? I've seen this in one of the themes sold on Mobihand.
I don't believe this is possible with SVG and will require application development skills but just curious.
Thanks.

I assume you're talking about my theme, The iPhone Simulator. It does require a standalone application.

Next month I plan on providing theme developers with this functionality for free, I think it's great and I think all themes should have it. We're just working out some of the kinks here and there before we release anything, and it takes a while.

Hang tight!

This is AWESOME! I bought your theme (very nice BTW!) and love that added feature. I also installed BerrySlider to give that overall "iDevice" feel. I've been looking for something similar to your updating calendar but with an OS6 icon that updates. I can't wait for the release! If you need a tester, feel free to PM me.

If you do, I will kiss you! NOT!
Seriously, it's not easy for one developer to divulge something like this to other developers when you can just as easily make this a unique feature.
My hats off to you.

Now that you are selling a standalone app for this feature, will what you said above still happen? Just curious... Thanks!
