lag on home screen but not on app screen

created a basic 18 icon theme for the home screen using composer/theme builder.

home screen when scrolling through icons lags quite a bit but when i press the bb button and view the app screen the cursor moves smoothly.

any idea why this is and maybe how to fix it?

Not sure if you are developing for the Torch, or if the Torch is any different, but I've found that anything over 12 icons (or an equivalent amount of memory) will cause lag issues. You can try and get around it by arranging the icons in different layers and moving those very strategically, but it is usually a PIA. Net...this is a phone RAM issue.
