How to easily transfer my theme to other versions of BB?
I finally took the plunge and dl the latest Blackberry theme creator (v5, I think it is). I was daunted beforehand because the main page coming up on a google search that talked about how easy it was (not, from the description) listed several apps we had to dl. That page and it's list of instructions made it a major undertaking what with "make sure you dl the latest ...", blah, blah, blah, etc., etc., for each of them ... And all other such pages made it out to be a complicated dl and installation process.
But I took the plunge to see if that had changed with the latest theme builder and, sure enough, whatever was the case before, v5 is now a one-stop-shop. I installed _one_ application and it came with absolutely everything it needed (I imagine the JDE is there, too, as everything works in the finished themes).
It took me a couple of hours, each day, over a couple of days to figure out the quirks of getting the buttons to work right in the end, but once I got that, yes, you can have a theme in as little as a couple of minutes!
But that begs the question, how do you "convert" your theme so that it works with other Blackberry versions?
The theme I created I just know my brother will like because it's a U-theme and he's been wanting more icons on his home screen forever.
I have a Pearl Flip 8320 and he has a Storm, I believe. Without rebuilding entirely from scratch, is there a way to just choose to output to a different BB once I have my theme up and running? I couldn't find anything intuitively.
I've also googled and searched the user's guide over last several days but have come up with nothing.
Thanks.
