How to create an animated theme?

Lately I have seen themes with different animations, like snow falling on the homescreen and whatnot. How is this accomplished? Any help would be great!

I THIINK that you just put a .gif file as the background...but ill have to research it when I have time

Yeah, just put a snow gif that free for use (there are loads about if you google it!) and pop it in your composer document before you import the SVG into the theme builder
